For the last few years, I thought the feeling among academics and environmentalists was that nuclear energy was the way to go. “As many as 50,000 stray dogs roam the streets and vacant homes of bankrupt Detroit, replacing residents, menacing humans who remain and overwhelming the city’s ability to find them homes or peaceful deaths.” So goes the lede in a Bloomberg story about wild dogs in Motown. But beware, some Detroiters call the piece hyperbole.
