You know that feeling when you’ve been talking about something for a long time, and then you actually get around to doing it? Knowing something is coming… waiting, preparing, waiting… then it comes?

That’s happening now.

I’ve been set to travel to Nairobi for months, and it’s finally about to happen.

With most kinds of excitement, there’s a little anxiousness mixed in. Things are no different for me today.

I’m excited to see and do and serve. I’m praying for the relationships that will happen. For health. For joy. And that no matter what happens — no matter what we do or see or feel, or whatever happens to us — God will be glorified, and that that will be clear in the end.

Prayers appreciated. Updates upon return.

  2. Yay! My adult Somali ESL student’s 12-yr-old daughter just arrived from Nairobi last month. There is a field white for harvest among the Somali refugees there–praise God!
