Explore a dark cave. Ride a big wave. Be different when everyone else is the same.

There are a million zillion ways to be brave.

It is brave, for a start, to get out of bed every day.

It is brave to try… and fail… and try again anyway.

It is brave to a sing a song that’s never been sung.

It is brave to start this or that and not stop till you’re done.

It is brave to wear polka-dots on Stripes Day at the fair.

It is brave to play checkers on a board with a million squares.

It is brave to warm a junebug in the month of November.

It is brave to eat a strawberry whose name is Cucumber.

It is brave to share your wishes when you meet a genie.

It is brave to build a castle out of nothing more than linguine.

It is brave to soar with a skybird who swims in the sea.

It is brave to ride a hippopotamus who swings from the trees.

It is brave to cheer for Detroit when you live in Chicago.

It is brave to make the thoughtful-est silence your motto.

It is brave to pluck a banana who dyes its skin purple.

It is brave to draw a triangle who thinks it’s a circle.

It is brave to pet the mouse who roars like a lion.

It is brave to sneeze the stardust that floated down from Orion.

It is brave to close one eye to make friends with Cyclops.

It is brave to stand on your head so bottoms are tops.

It is brave to swim backstroke in a jello-filled moat.

It is brave to create your own toys and construct your own worlds.

It is brave to turn straight lines into zigzags and zigzags into swirls.

It is brave to be helpful and you yourself ask for help.

And, most of all, it is brave to love others even more than yourself.
