Today I am a writer.

I build worlds out of words.

The adventures I am writing,

No one has ever heard.

Mountains made of letters

And inky rivers on my page.

I’m the author of a hundred legends

And the paper is my stage.

My words wind down wild ways.

Even I don’t know where they lead.

When I’m following my fantasy,

It’s when I feel most free.

Animals can talk.

All my friends can fly.

Writing myths and yarns and fairy tales,

There’s nothing I can’t try.

I tell amazing stories.

I invent the wildest rhymes.

My pencil dancing on the page

Lets me live a million lives.

Today I am a writer.

I create creations no one ever knew.

What will I be tomorrow?

I can hardly wait to choose.
