In your eyes are stars and moons

And pink-purple planets spinning their rings.

In your eyes are the heavens,

With space dust and spaceships spreading their wings.

In your hands there’s a circus act

Clowns, jugglers, and elephants all ready to ride.

In your hands the lion stands on one foot,

All his circus friends at his side.

In your heart lives a dragon

Swimming backstroke in a sea of lava and love.

In your heart are volcanoes

Spewing joy, sadness, and passion with every puff.

On your nose climb the climbers,

Furry-hooded, going up, up, up, up.

On your nose ski the skiers,

Speeding down, down, down, down until they jump, jump, jump, jump.

On your shoulders are fluttering fairies,

Making magic, singing songs, and firing magic dust.

On your shoulders they dance and float,

And with their wands poke the air with cheery quick thrusts.

In your ears sing the miners,

Digging deep in their cave, humming as they hack.

In your ears they are searching,

Not for gold, not for silver, but for that precious earwax.

On the tips of your fingers

Lay the sunbathers and balloon flyers.

On the tips of your fingers

Rise the sandcastles and gulls, who rise ever higher.

At the end of your toes perch the fishermen,

Casting their lines for fish far out at sea.

At the end of your toes sleep the walruses,

Snoring loud as thunder as the jellyfish float just beneath.

In your hair swing the monkeys

From one braided vine to another.

In your hair bloom the flowers,

Pink puffs and purple bursts, all smelling of summer.

Stick out your tongue and see toads and tadpoles

Making their way to and fro.

Stick out your tongue and see turtles

Lounging on lily pads as they wash up near the shore.
