Every single fourth November

Duty calls for me and you

To cast a vote for president

It’s our right and honor, too

Man or woman

Blue or red

Another color in between?

Vote with your heart and with your head

No person represents you perfect

Because no one is exactly you

Weigh them each as best you can

Then vote for someone fair and true

If you win

Win with kindness and grace

If you lose

Put on a brave face

We will still be neighbors

Still be on the same side

Whatever happens

Together we rise

Your vote matters

You need to know

You may be just one in a million

But only you can cast your vote

Build tomorrow

With what you do today

Win or lose

Your voice remains

Maybe when you’re older

You’ll be the change you want to see

Then you will run for president

And you’ll be saying, “Vote for me.”
